(More customer reviews)Unit will only skim water out of the very top of the reservoir. After water level drops about a half inch it no longer produces humidity and the remaining water just sits in the reservoir. At that point it simply becomes a rather loud white noise machine. No on/off switch. So, if you want to shut it off make sure the wall outlet is within easy reach.
