(More customer reviews)This vaporizer sounded good from the description and I got a good price on one ($70). But it could have been half that price and it's still a waste of bucks. This unit is made in China and had a rather strong offending odor when I opened the box. The seller claimed it was just from the new materials and would burn off almost immediately. It didn't - it lingered a long while and still emits some smell upon operation. In fact, it off flavors the herb in the unit, and I'm so unsure if that also would negatively effect my lungs that I no longer use this unit (a major reason for purchasing a vaporizer was for it's health benefits over smoking). Also, the the heating element does not seem to be able to maintain a constant temperature, as when you draw in slowly on the herb, the heat rapidly decreases and effects the vaporization rate. I ended up buying another brand that was made in the USA, and I am much happier. (Also, just got another brand that's made in Canada and I am in 7th heaven with it). My recommendation is to save your money up and buy a better unit - they are out there and for under $200 if you look around. Of course, if money is no object, the Volcano is highly rated, but it was way out of my price range.
